Dental disease is one of the most common physical examination findings during your pet’s annual wellness examination. Chronic, severe dental disease can lead to several other health issues, including heart disease, weight loss, bone infections, and tooth loss. Your veterinarian will assess your pet’s teeth at their annual wellness examination and recommend dental care based on those findings.

We offer state-of-the-art dentistry, including dental radiology. Dental radiology is an important part of your pet’s dental examination because it allows us to assess the boney integrity of your pet’s jaw as well as the health of the tooth roots. Often, a tooth can look healthy on the surface but can have the severe disease only found in dental radiology. In the case of an infected tooth, your veterinarian will perform a careful extraction and close the gum line with a line of dissolvable sutures. Your pet will go home with pain and antibiotic medications after major dental work to help them heal.
